The ZJIES6028M-HI-16GT8GB4S+ series is an unmanaged DIN-rail switch with fiber uplinks, combining 6 × 10/100Base-T copper access ports with 4 × fixed 10/100/1000Base-FX Gigabit fiber ports (SC, ST or FC connector optional, single- or dual-fiber optional) in one compact unit. It is plug-and-play with no configuration required, uses store-and-forward switching, and ships in a compact IP40 metal enclosure (45×175×143 mm) for DIN-rail or wall mounting. Powered by AC 220V (100–240V) single input or DC 24V (12–36V) / 48V (36–56V) redundant dual input with reverse-polarity and overload protection, it operates from -40 to +75°C — suited for sites that need to aggregate several near-end copper links onto a long-haul Gigabit fiber uplink.

  • Unmanaged switch — no VLAN, RSTP/MSTP ring redundancy, or web-based management; choose a managed model for segmented or ring-topology networks.
  • No PoE output on any of the 6 copper ports — cameras, APs, or IP phones needing PoE power require an external injector or a PoE-capable switch.
  • Fiber connector type (SC/ST/FC) and distance class (multimode/single-mode) are fixed at the factory per order — they cannot be swapped in the field the way SFP modules can.

What makes this model fiber-dense compared with the rest of the line?
It pairs 16 × 10/100/1000Base-T copper ports with 8 × 1000Base-X SFP slots and 4 × 10GBase-X SFP+ uplink slots — more fiber ports than the copper-heavy models in the line. That suits fiber-to-the-point access: long-distance sites, several buildings converging on one aggregation node, or runs along tunnels and utility corridors.
What Layer 3 routing does it run?
IPv4 static routing, RIP v1/v2 and OSPF, plus policy routing for IPv4 and IPv6, IPv6 static routes, VRRPv2 gateway redundancy, and Layer 3 multicast with PIM-DM/PIM-SM and IGMP. DHCP server, relay and snooping, ARP proxy, IPSG and software BFD round out the routing toolkit.
Do the SFP and SFP+ slots come with transceivers?
No — the 8 × 1000Base-X SFP aggregation slots and 4 × 10GBase-X SFP+ uplink slots are supplied empty; transceiver modules are ordered separately. List the distances and fiber types of each link in your quote request so matching optics ship with the switch.
What redundancy protects the network core?
At Layer 2: STP/RSTP/MSTP, ERPS (G.8032) and the proprietary ZJRing self-healing ring with recovery under 20 ms. At Layer 3: VRRP-based ring protection recovering in under 200 ms and VRRPv2 gateway redundancy. Static LACP aggregation, 2 groups of up to 4 ports, protects individual trunks.
Is the switching capacity sized for video-heavy networks?
The platform uses store-and-forward switching with a 16K MAC address table and a 12 Mbit packet buffer — double the table and triple the buffer of the standard models. With 4 × 10G SFP+ uplinks above 8 gigabit fiber ports, aggregate camera or telemetry streams have headroom on the way up.
How is it managed day to day?
Choose CLI over the RS-232 RJ45 console (9600, 8, N, 1), web, Telnet or SNMP v1/v2/v3; a DHCP client and ACLs are on board. Operations features include 64 VLAN groups (VID 1–4094), QoS with 8 queues per port, IGMP Snooping for 256 groups, port mirroring, LLDP, Syslog, RMON, SNTP and NTP.
